The Taoiseach Micheal Martin has said that the theme going forward when it comes to lifting Covid-19 restrictions will revolve around the outdoors.
Speaking to RTE News, the Taoiseach said that people must avoid congregation especially indoors.
The Taoiseach went onto say that the rate of transmission in the community remains stubbornly high and the public must continue to follow public health advice.
Martin said that the country is dealing with a very different variant to the one that we dealt with during the first and second wave and it is more transmissible.
He added that any decision on the lifting of restrictions will be made in the lead up to April 5th and mental wellbeing will would be taken into account.
