Three children and two adults have been rushed to hospital after fire broke out their home in Co Wexford this afternoon.
According to RTÉ News the family were rushed to hospital after a fire broke out at the property in Mary Street, New Ross.
The national broadcaster say the family are currently being treated for smoke inhalation in University Hospital Waterford.
It is believed the family were rescued after a man aged in his 50s who was working on a house next door saw the family trapped upstairs as smoke and flames came from the house.
It is understood the man rescued a man and the three young children from the burning house.
Gardaí investigating the incident say they are trying to determine what caused the fire, and that a young boy has been taken to hospital where he remains in stable condition.
