In the past hour the German authorities have confirmed that at least three people have been killed and many more have been injured in an attack on a shopping centre in the city of Munich.
There are also reports that three gunman are on the loose in the city with local media saying a shooting incident has occured at the city’s metro station. It has been confirmed that all public transport in and out of the city has been closed this evening as a citywide manhunt is underway.
According to a number of eyewitnesses a lone gunman opened fire at the Olympia Shopping centre just before 6pm this evening local time. There are also various media reports suggesting that six people have been killed after a number of shots have been fired at various other locations across the city.
Although it has not yet been confirmed it is believed this latest attack was carried out by Islamic group ISIS.
