Local authorities have confirmed that at least three people have died following a massive pile-up in a Texas motorway.
The accident reportedly involved over 100 vehicles circulating on Interstate 35 near the city of Fort Worth. Many motorists are still trapped in the wreckage.
Adverse weather conditions are thought to have played a significant part in the event, as there were reports of widespread icy patches on the road shortly before the crash.
