29 people have been fined 100 euros each for violating the Covid 19 restrictions since the introduction of new enforcement measures on Monday.
According to Gardaí, the fixed payment notices were issued to people more who were more than 5klm from their homes without a reasonable excuse as to why they were there.
Current level 5 health regulations allow people to exercise within 5klm of their home.
Three people from Co Meath were fined after being arrested in Ringsend, Dublin. They said that they had travelled the 80klm journey so that they could get a takeaway burger.
