A 19-year-old who armed himself with a Harley and took part in a group attack on a teenage girl in Dublin two years ago, which left her blind in one eye, has been jailed for three years, reports RTE.
Josh Cummins, of Raheen Drive, Ballyfermot, admitted causing grievous bodily harm to Alana Quinn Idris, who attacked her with a scooter seat and struck her in the face on December 30, 2021.
M. Quinn Idris lost consciousness, and had a broken tooth, a broken cheekbone and a broken eyeball, reports RTE.
Despite numerous reconstructive surgeries, the attack left her permanently blind in her right eye.
Alana Quinn Idris suffered a fractured eye socket and was transferred to the Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital, where it was discovered she was blind in her right eye.
Quinn Idris said she will remember the attack every day for the rest of her life because the injuries on her face are visible and not something she can hide, reports RTE.
