A thunderstorm warning is in effect for 13 counties amidst miserable weather conditions in places.
The warning is in place for the whole of Connacht plus counties Clare, Limerick, Tipperary, Donegal, Laois, Longford, Offaly, and Westmeath.
According to the national forecaster, many areas around these counties will experience heavy showers, gusty winds, and lightning at times.
