Met Eireann is predicting that today’s weather will be rather mild and settled, with temperatures reaching 16C at times. However, colder conditions will return once again soon.
Today, Thursday, will be a Spring-like day, with warm temperatures and little in the way of rain.
But the thermometer will take a tumble by tonight, sinking back to just above freezing.
The coming weekend is forecast to be cold but mostly dry, with freezing nights to go with it.
