
Katie Taylor’s Croke Park fight has sold out in minutes, with over 80,000 people set to attend her farewell bout on 5 September.
Many fans were left disappointed as tickets disappeared within minutes of going on sale, reports Breaking News.
40,000 tickets were made available during a pre-sale on Wednesday, with the remainder going on general sale on Friday morning.
Taylor will take on unbeaten French boxer Flora Pili as she defends her WBO, WBA, IBF and Ring Magazine titles and fights for the vacant WBC Super Lightweight Championship, reports Breaking News.
It will be the first boxing event at Croke Park since Muhammad Ali fought there in 1972.
After years of calls for a Croke Park fight, Taylor confirmed this was where her career would conclude, having stated it was either this or retirement, reports Breaking News.
The Wicklow boxer has fought twice professionally in Ireland, both bouts against Chantelle Cameron at the 3Arena in 2023.
The undercard has yet to be announced, reports Breaking News.
