Today was officially the warmest day of the year so far forecasters have said.
According to Met Eireann the highest temperature of 27.1C was recorded at Mount Dillon this afternoon.
The high temperatures are set to continue into the weekend as highs of 28C are expected on Saturday and Sunday.
Meanwhile the warm and dry weather is set to continue into the middle of next week as temperatures are expected to remain in thr mid 20s with highs of 26C expected in some places.
