A top Russian commander has finally been forced to admit that Russia cannot defeat Ukraine militarily, not now, not in the future.
Alexander Khodakovsky, who’s in charge of the Vostok battalion, acknowledged that monumental losses in troops and materiel likely mean that the only option is to freeze the conflict, something that Ukraine will never accept.
The comments suggest that confidence among Russian military leadership is running quite low following tactically significant breakthroughs by Ukrainian warriors.
Ukraine is now stepping up its bombing campaign of the Russian capital to ensure the message gets through that the country will never capitulate.
