A new demonstration by East Wall residents took place this evening, with protesters stopping traffic at the Port Tunnel and an entrance to Dublin Port.
Residents are protesting the plantation of migrants into the community, claiming that “these men have been put into our community without any consultation”.
According to the protesters, the migrants are being kept inside plastic pods with little to no privacy, and in freezing conditions.
They say that their fight is only just beginning and that in the new year they plan on escalating their protests even further.
