In a tragic accident, a young child has died from her injuries after a bouncy castle was blown off the ground at a Christmas fair in Spain.
According to RTE, the eight-year-old girl was one of eight children who were injured in the accident which took place in Mislata, near the city of Valencia. One of them was also seriously injured.
Mislata mayor Carlos Bielsa tweeted a message, saying “There are no words of consolation, a real tragedy.”
Three days of official mourning have started and all remaining Christmas events have been cancelled after the accident.
Local media reported that the gusts that blew the castle up reached 70 kilometers an hour. An investigation has begun.
