There is a major investigation underway in the UK after two people have been arrested following the death of a five-year-old over the weekend.
It is understood that the arrests were made after an 11 year old boy pulled the young boy from a swimming pool in Nuneaton on Saturday afternoon. According to a number of eyewitnesses the five year old’s lifeless body was recovered from the water at Bosworth Water Park in Warwickshire, which he had reportedly been visiting with his family.
One witness by the name of Sheena Thomas spoke of her horror saying: “My 11-year-old nephew pulled this little boy from the water after feeling his hair whilst searching for his goggles he had lost.”
Meanwhile another witness named Faeeza Mwnuk said she seen the “young boy being carried out of the shallow water by an older boy who ‘felt something by my feet'”.
The young boy apparently named charlie was taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire, where sadly he later passed.
Police say an investigation is now officially underway to determine the cause of the young boy’s tragic death and that they have arrested two people in connection with the incident.
Meanwhile the theme park also issued a statement on its Facebook page saying: “From all of the staff at Bosworth Water Park, we would like to pass on our deepest sympathies to everyone affected by this tragic loss of life.”
