Gardaí are treating the death of a 3-yr-old boy in Co Limerick as a tragic accident.
The boy is believed to have been fatally injured when he was struck by a vehicle around 10:30am Friday morning at a private home in the Ballyduhig area of West Limerick.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, desperately trying to save the boy’s life, but he was later pronounced dead at Limerick University Hospital.
A local pathologist will carry out an autopsy and the case will be referred to the Limerick Coroner’s Office for investigation.
