Tragically, a 52-yr-old woman who was in critical condition after she was struck by a car in Co Galway on Christmas Eve has died.
It’s understood that the incident happened shortly before 9pm on a road in Carrowmanagh, Oughterard.
She was taken to University Hospital Galway where she had been in a critical condition since. The driver of the car, a woman in her late 40s, was uninjured in the incident.
The woman has been named locally as Lucy Goggin. She sadly passed away on St Stephen’s Day, it’s been confirmed.
