Gardai are investigating the tragic death of a man in his 70s in Clonakilty, Co. Cork following a road traffic accident in near the town at approximately 7:25pm yesterday evening.
It’s understood the man was struck by a vehicle whilst walking on the R588 Fernhill road.
Although a number of attempts were made to resuscitate the man by emergency services he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
