Police in Malta have confirmed this afternoon that an Irishman aged in his mid 30’s has been seriously injured in a car accident near the capital Valletta.
According to local media reports the man who now lives in Sliema, was hit by a car driven by a 67-year-old woman.
Police say he is currently receiving treatment in Mater Dei hospital in Msida for “grievous injuries”.
They also say investigation is currently ongoing.
