Tragic: Another homeless man has been found dead sleeping rough outside Starbucks in Dublin

In what can only be described as a tragic set of circumstances, another homeless man has been found dead on our streets today.

The man was found this morning at 7:20am outside the doorway of Starbucks on Westmoreland Street.

The coffee shop is that of former Irish mega-coffee house, Bewleys.

It is believed street cleaners discovered the man who was lifeless. They discovered the man was unconscious when they were trying to clean around him.

The emergency services were quickly called to the scene where they subsequently transferred the man to hospital. A post mortem is currently being performed and gardai have not, as of midday, released the man’s name or age.

Westmoreland Street is just on the Liffey, it’s a mere 5 minute walk to the Dail.

This horrible incident follows a “Help 4 The Homeless” sleep out last night, ironically outside the Dail and on Molesworth Street – precisely where a homeless man died while sleeping rough earlier this year.

Will the government finally do something about this awful situation?
