Sad news this evening, as it has been confirmed that the body found inside a slurry pit in Cork is that of missing man Diarmuid Twomey.

Mr Twomey, 31, had been missing since December 20. His phone was later found outside a house in Ballynahina, Cork.
There are no indications of foul play at this point, and Gardai are treating the event as a tragic incident, pending post-morten results.
