Gardaí have sadly confirmed that a 14-year-old boy from Co Kerry has passed away following a quad bike accident last week.
It is understood the boy who was involved in the accident which occurred in Ballygamboon in Castlemaine, died at Temple Street Children’s Hospital on Tuesday.
Gardaí say the teenager was transferred to Temple Street Children’s Hospital from University Hospital Tralee following the accident which occurred on April 16.
They added that a Health and Safety Authority investigation is underway.
