A 67-year-old woman and a 58-year-old man have died after being hit by a van in Caerphilly, Wales, reports Sky.
The incident took place on 17 March at around 7.50pm on Nantgarh Road.
The woman died on the spot after the accident, while the young man later died of his injuries in hospital.
Michael Saltmarsh, 48, was arrested from the immediate area on charges of causing death by reckless driving, grievous injury by reckless driving and driving under the influence of alcohol, reports Sky.
He has been indicted and will appear at Newport Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
The injured families are getting the cooperation of specialized officers.
Police investigating the crash are asking witnesses who were in the area at the time, including the driver with possible dashcam footage, to get in touch, reports Sky.
