Gardaí have confirmed that a diver has sadly passed away following an incident in Co Donegal, this past weekend.
It is understood the man who was rescued from a boat off Inishowen, passed away in Letterkenny University Hospital after being airlifted from the vessel north of Malin Head, at approximately 1pm on Sunday afternoon.
Gardaí investigating the incident say the coast gaurd was informed of the incident after they received a report a man was unconscious on board the boat.
They added that an investigation is currently ongoing.
