Tragically, David is still missing since he was last seen swimming on Friday in Canada where he is currently residing.
He dived off a bridge in British Columbia on Friday afternoon but is said to have not made his way back to land since.
The 26-yr-old played football with Breaffy GAA club and Mayo in the 2008 All Ireland Minor final.
Today, rescue crews have called in the help of divers in an effort to search where David was swimming when he was last seen on Friday.
The department on foreign affairs are said to be in consultation with the Mayo man’s family.
