Gardaí in Co Clare have sadly confirmed that an elderly man aged in his 80s has sadly died following a house fire at house on Friday evening.
The man who suffered extensive burns in the fire which occurred at Meelick, shortly after 5pm, sadly passed away in Cork University Hospital this morning.
Meanwhile the man’s son who is aged in his 40s is in stable condition in hospital after he received burns whilst trying to help his father.
