Gardai in Co Cork have sadly confirmed that an elderly man has died after being struck by a truck this morning.
It is understood that the man aged in his 80s was sadly killed after being struck by a truck whilst crossing a road in Charleville, at approximately 11am.
Gardai say the man was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
They added that an investigation is currently ongoing.
