Gardaí in Co Cork have sadly confirmed that a 65-year-old female cyclist has died following a collision involving a tractor and trailer in Co Cork this afternoon.
It is understood the tragic incident happened on the N28 Cork to Ringaskiddy road near Shanbally at approximately 1pm this afternoon.
Gardaí say the woman sadly was pronounced dead at the scene and her body has since been taken to Cork University Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
