Gardaí in Waterford have confirmed that the body of a man has been found in the River Suir.
According to The Irish Mirror newspaper, the tragic discovery was made during the search for missing man Lenord O’Neill.
It is understood the man’s body was discovered in the Bilberry area, west of Rice Bridge in the city centre, at approximately 10.45am this morning.
Gardaí say they believe that the body is that of Mr O’Neill.
Mr O’Neill was the subject of a nationwide appeal after he was reported missing on Monday, April 15.
