Gardai in Co Longford have sadly confirmed that a man aged in his 50s has died following a farming accident.
It is understood that the man was killed whilst working on machinery at a farm in Colehill.
Gardai say an investigation is underway and the Health and Safety Authority have been notified about the incident.
