There was some sad news announced late last night as Gardai in Co Donegal have confirmed that the body of a man has been recovered in the Derryveagh Mountains.
The discovery of the man’s remains comes after a search operation was carried out on Sunday after the man believed to be a walker had not returned to his car which was parked at Loch Barra on the western outskirts of Glenveagh National Park.
Gardai say they received a call alerting them to the man’s disappearance over the weekend after concerned locals reported him missing after he failed to return from a walk in the Sliabh Sneachta area on Thursday evening.
They also say the man who is originally from England had been living in the area.
