It has been reported this morning that a man believed to be in his mid 50s has sadly died following an industrial accident which happened in Co Galway yesterday afternoon.
It is believed that the tragic accident happened in a yard at Corrandulla near Headford at approximately 3.15pm yesterday afternoon. The man who has not been named was sadly pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken to University College Hospital Galway where a post mortem will be take place.
Gardai say the scene is currently being preserved and the Health and Safety Authority will conduct a full investigation into what caused the accident.
