There was some sad news announced this morning as Gardaí confirmed an elderly pedestrian has died in a road traffic incident in Mayo.

It is understood the man aged in his 80s was knocked down on the N60 at Logatemple, Claremorris at approximately 1am this morning.
Gardaí say the driver and two passengers in the car were uninjured and an investigation is currently ongoing.
