
An investigation is underway in the East Midlands of England after an 11-year-old boy was tragically killed after he was electrocuted at a rail depot near Daventry on Tuesday.
According to reports the young boy who was discovered at Daventry International Rail Freight Depot just shortly after 5.20pm on Tuesday afternoon suffered severe burns after he came into contact with an electrical source at the depot.
The boy was discovered by police and paramedics from the East Midlands Ambulance Service, who tried frantically to resuscitate the boy at the scene however despite their best efforts he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say the boy’s death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are continuing.
