Gardaí in Co Offaly have sadly confirmed that a man aged in his 50s has died following a road traffic incident.
It is understood the man was killed following a collision on the Clonmeen Cross Road near Rhode Village, at approximately 10:50am.
Gardaí say a man aged in his 60s was also taken to hospital with injuries.
They are appealing for anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the incident to come forward and contact them at Tullamore Garda Station on 057 9327600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any garda station.
