Gardai in Co Tipperary have sadly confirmed that a man aged in his 80s has been killed following a road traffic collision this afternoon.
It is understood that the man was killed after the car he was travelling in collided with a tree on the L4306, outside Bansha at approximately 3:15pm.
Gardai say a woman aged in her 80s was also injured in the collision, although it is believed that her injuries are not life threatening.
They added that an investigation into the is currently ongoing.
