Gardaí in Co Waterford have confirmed that a man has sadly died following a workplace accident today.
It is understood the man was killed after a car rolled off a hoist and struck him resulting in him sustaining serious head and chest injuries.
The incident is believed to have occurred in Newtown, Kilmacthomas, shortly at approximately 11.30am this morning.
Gardaí say an investigation is currently ongoing.
