Gardaí in Co Donegal have confirmed the identity of remains found on a beach in Leenan, Clonmany on Wednesday.
In announcement Gardaí confirmed that the remains are that of missing Derry woman Jean McGahey.
Mrs McGahey, 72, was reported missing in Derry on the 18 November 2018 and was last seen in Buncrana on the 19th of November.
Gardai say they are not treating her death as suspicious and a file is being prepared for the Coroners office.
