The grim trend of road deaths goes on today, after a man in his 50s sadly lost his life in a two-car collision.
The incident happened on the R524 at Coole West, Athea, Co. Limerick, at about 9.30pm.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. The occupant of the other vehicle was uninjured.
The area is closed this morning to enable a technical examination.
