Twelve people have lost their lives in a head-on collision between a bus and a truck in France.
The incident happened shortly before midnight in the Allier region of the country. All 12 victims were Portuguese citizens travelling from Switzerland to Portugal. The driver of the bus, and two Italian citizens travelling on the truck survived the crash.
According to witnesses, the bus suddenly veered to the left and collided with the truck, which was travelling in the opposite direction.
