Gardai in Co Roscommon have sadly confirmed that a woman has died after being struck by a vehicle.
It is understood that the woman aged in her 50s was sadly killed after being hit by a vehicle on the N5 between Strokestown and Scramogue Cross, Co Roscommon, at approximately 5:30pm on Friday.
Gardai say the driver of the vehicle was uninjured in the incident.
They added that an investigation is currently ongoing.
