The Department of Foreign Affairs has sadly confirmed that a young Irish woman has died following an accident in the Koh Samui region Thailand.
It is believed the 27-year-old, who was originally from Co Donegal, died after she fell from a balcony at her hotel.
Local police authorities say an investigation into the incident has been launched.
