An 18-year-old man sadly lost his life in a single-vehicle road crash that took place at some point between the hours of 12 midnight and 1.50pm today on the R402, Carbury – Edenderry Road.
It is understood the car lay undiscovered in a drain for a number of hours before it was spotted. The driver, a young man aged 18, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have travelled the R402 between Carbury and Edenderry during the hours of 12 midnight and 2pm on February 21 to contact Leixlip Garda Station on 01 6667800, The Garda Confidential Line, 1800 666111 or any Garda Station.
