A train station that was never opened or used now needs a €3.8m refurbishment, according to Iarnrod Eireann.
The ghost facility, located at Kishoge in West Dublin, cost €6m to build. At the time, it was expected that the surrounding area would be substantially developed. This never came to pass.
The station, which might or might ever open, will now suck up almost €4m more.
Transport Minister Eamon Ryan has not uttered a peep about the debacle yet.
