Transgender killer identifies as infant demanding nappies and baby food with prison officials complying with demands

Daniel Eastwood (36), or Sophie, as he calls himself is a murderer imprisoned at Polmont Jail and is a transgender woman but has recently declared that they now identify as a trans-“infant” and demanding nappies and that his meals be blended like baby food.

Eastwood was jailed for life in 2004 after he strangled his cell-mate Paul Algie (22) with shoelaces, but now wants prison officers to hold his hand like a toddler when being escorted to different sections of the prison.

Bizarrely, rather than transferring the prisoner to a mental health facility, officials at the prison are taking Eastwood’s demands seriously.

To satiate Eastwood’s predilections the prison has already supplied him with a dummy and a source for the Daily Record has said about Eastwood:

“She decided that she would ‘trans’ from a man to woman, which is becoming more common in jails these days.

“But this is obviously something else entirely and the Scottish Prison Service has no protocol in place for dealing with prisoners who decide they are babies.”

The source added: “Eastwood is a complex person and intelligent but she is pretty demanding on the resources of the prison and enjoys being the centre of attention.

“It’s difficult to know if she really does feel a natural inclination to be treated like a baby or if it’s just some kind of attention seeking.

“Modern prisons are very tuned in to human rights and the legal implications they throw up, so it’s being given proper consideration.”

Eastwood completed his 15-year minimum sentence in 2019 but there are no plans to release him or move him to an open prison regime, not because of his gender identity issues but because he refuses to obey by any of the prison’s rules.
