Widespread travel chaos is expected across the UK today as rail staff are set to walk out of their jobs at 6pm. Most train services will end at around 3pm.
Staff members attached to the Rail, Maritime, and Transport (RMT) union will down tools in a row over pay and conditions.
Many people will be forced to use private transport instead, likely leading to a massive increase in road traffic.
