Tributes paid after man dies following road collision in Dublin




A cyclist has died after being involved in a road accident in Coolock, Dublin, reports RTE.

The incident, which included a collision with a car, happened on the R139 in Dublin 17 shortly after 8pm last night.

The victim, a man in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene, reports RTE.

His remains were taken to Dublin City Mortuary, where a post-mortem examination is expected to take place.

The road was temporarily closed for a forensic investigation but has since reopened, reports RTE.

Gardaí are asking for witnesses to come forward, especially drivers who were in the vicinity between 7.30pm and 8.15pm and may have dash cam footage.
