The grieving parents of a 7-yr-old girl who passed away on a Florida beach after being buried by sand have paid homage to her, reports Sky.
When the huge hole collapsed on Tuesday afternoon, Sloan Mattingly, nine, had been helping to dig it.
Visitors to the Lauderdale-by-the-Sea beachWhile being carried to the hospital, Sloan passed away, despite Sea’s haste to save the two.
It is said that she spent about 20 minutes buried in the 1.8-meter (6-foot) deep trench, reports Sky.
Her sibling is in a stable condition at the hospital.
Her mother Therese paid homage to her, describing her death as a “freak accident” on a GoFundMe page for the family.
She added: “It took away our greatest 7.5 years. Don’t tell us you’re sorry for our loss… don’t do that to us. We experienced the purest human being and we are forever changed by her,” reports Sky.
