Tributes have been paid to a “beautiful” young mum from Galway who died suddenly in the UK last week, reports The Mirror.

Ciara Moran, aged 38, tragically passed away without warning in Stockton-on-Tees on May 11, leaving behind her beloved four-year-old daughter, Luna Rae.

Ciara was a psychologist who dedicated her career to supporting homeless individuals, foster children, people with disabilities, and elderly people in both Ireland and Australia, reports The Mirror.

Since her family announced her passing last weekend, she has been remembered through numerous tributes as a compassionate, intelligent, and humorous individual.

One friend who knew Ciara during her time in Australia called her “one of the brightest lights I have ever known.”

“From the moment we crossed paths, she brought warmth, laughter, and a sense of being understood in a way that is rare and precious,” she said, reports The Mirror.

“She gave so much of herself to others. Her kindness was quiet but fierce. Her humour was unmatched. Her heart was immense. Even in pain, she had a way of lifting people up.

“She reminded us of our worth. She helped us feel less alone. She saw people clearly and made room for gentleness and hope, even when everything felt heavy,” she added.

“Her love for Luna was the kind you could feel across oceans. She was so proud to be her mum. I hope Luna will always know how deeply she was cherished,” reports The Mirror.

A college friend, who studied forensic psychology alongside Ciara, called her “such a special person.”

“I always admired her intelligence as well as her vulnerability and honesty. She was such a fabulous girl, inside and out,” they said, reports The Mirror.

Another friend from college expressed heartbreak over Ciara’s sudden death.

“I hope Ciara knows the impact she had on my life during our college days… She was so warm and had a massive heart. She was a great listener and I always felt better after talking to her. She had this intuition where she was able to detect if you were not yourself and ask you, ‘Are you okay?’ She was direct and honest, kind and gentle,” they added, reports The Mirror.

Born in Galway city, Ciara graduated from the local university and later earned postgraduate qualifications in Dublin and Glasgow. She worked in Australia before relocating to the UK.

She is survived by her daughter Luna Rae, Luna Rae’s father Shane, her mother Caroline, father Eddie, and sisters Emma and Jade.

“It is with the heaviest of hearts and the deepest of sadness that we announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our beautiful girl, Ciara,” her family said in a death notice, reports The Mirror.
