
In north Dublin, a cyclist lost their life after being struck by a vehicle, reports RTE.
When the event occurred at around 4.30pm on Thursday, the man, who was in his 50s, was riding his bicycle at the intersection of College Road and Castleknock Village.
The man’s remains were taken from the site and sent to the Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown mortuary, reports RTE.
It is now time to schedule a post-mortem examination.
While a technical assessment of the site was being conducted, the Castleknock Road through Castleknock Village was closed; however, it has now reopened, reports RTE.
Any witnesses to this accident are being urged to come forward by the GardaÃ.
Road users are encouraged to provide gardaà with any camera video they may have, including dash cam film, if they were in the vicinity at the time, reports RTE.
