Tributes paid to four women killed in separate road incidents in Wexford, Clare, Meath and Louth




Four women have lost their lives in separate road collisions across Wexford, Clare, Louth and Meath within the past 24 hours, reports RTE.

The victims include two pedestrians and a cyclist, each involved in separate fatal incidents.

In Enniscorthy, Co Wexford, a woman in her late 20s died after being struck by a car yesterday afternoon, reports RTE.

The collision occurred around 3pm on the R702 in the Curraghgraigue area.

She was taken to Wexford General Hospital in critical condition but sadly passed away.

The car’s driver, a man also in his 20s, was medically assessed at the scene, reports RTE.

The road was temporarily closed for a technical examination and has since reopened.

Gardaí are asking anyone with camera footage—including dashcam—from the Curraghgraigue area between 2.30pm and 3.30pm yesterday to come forward, reports RTE.

A woman, aged in her 80s, died on Monday after she was struck by a bus in Dunleer, Co Louth.

In a separate incident, a woman in her 60s was killed after being hit by a car near Ashbourne, Co Meath.

The crash occurred on the Dublin Road, between Nine Milestone and Coolquay, just south of Ashbourne, around 7.10pm yesterday evening, reports RTE.
